Authors retain copyright of their work by utilizing a Creative Commons attribution license. Open Access papers will be submitted to PubMed Central immediately upon final publication of each issue.

The cost to make an original research paper OA is $1000.00 USD.

For reviews and brief reports, OA is $750.00 USD.

For all other types of papers, the OA fee is $500.00 USD.

In addition to the cell cycle and cell division, Cell Cycle covers all topics from man to virus, from DNA to RNA, from aging to development, from cell senescence to stem cells, from apoptosis to autophagy, from cancer to neurobiology, from molecular and theoretical biology to medicine and therapy.

Submit your paper to Cell Cycle

Cell Cycle utilizes an online submission and tracking system designed to provide efficient service to authors. Through the online system, author files are automatically converted to PDFs, submissions are acknowledged by email, and authors can track their manuscript through the stages of the peer review process.

There are 3 submission tracks to choose from:

  1. General Submission
  2. Select Submission Track
  3. Expedited Submission Track

Select submission track: Cell Cycle will reconsider papers rejected by Science, Nature, Cell and others.

Cell Cycle recognizes that excellent papers may have been erroneously rejected by other journals. We will reconsider papers that have been rejected by Nature, Science, Nature Medicine, Nature Cell Biology, Cell, Cancer Cell, Cell Metabolism, Developmental Cell, NEJM, Lancet, Genes & Development and some other journals in the original format of those journals, thus saving the authors effort and time. The authors are encouraged to enclose the reviewers' and/or editorial comments from the above mentioned journals. This will certainly expedite the evaluation of the article and it is possible the article might be accepted based on its previous review. This will allow the urgent and competitive research to be published in a timely manner. You may submit your paper online. Following submission, please contact Yelena Boryskina, Assitant to the Editor-in-Chief, with the manuscript number and copies of the previous reviews. If you have questions, you may also contact Dr. Blagosklonny, the Editor-in-Chief, directly.
